Chula is a small city located in Livingston County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 195 people lived there.
History of Chula
The town of Chula has had a post office since 1888. A post office is where mail is sent and received. The name "Chula" comes from an old Native American word. It means "red fox." It's not fully known why this name was chosen for the community.
Where is Chula Located?
Chula is found on a place called Cream Ridge. It is next to the west side of the Medicine Creek area. This area can sometimes flood. Chula is northeast of a larger city called Chillicothe.
You can get to Chula using Missouri routes K and V. An old train track, once part of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad, also goes through the town. The city covers a total area of about 0.18 square miles (0.46 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
