Cícero João de Cézare (born 24 June 1980), known as Cicinho, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He played as a right back.
Cicinho became famous while playing for São Paulo. There, he helped his team win the Campeonato Paulista, Copa Libertadores, and FIFA Club World Cup in 2005. He also played for big clubs like Real Madrid, Roma, and Sivasspor. Cicinho played 15 games for the Brazilian national team. He won the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup and played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Cicinho: A Brazilian Football Star
Early Days and Big Wins
Cicinho was born in Pradópolis, São Paulo, Brazil. He started his football journey at Botafogo-SP. Later, he joined Atlético Mineiro, which loaned him to Botafogo.
A major highlight of his early career was in 2005. While playing for São Paulo, he helped them win the Club World Cup. This was a huge achievement for the team.
Playing for Real Madrid
On 23 August 2005, Cicinho signed with Real Madrid, a famous club in Spain. He joined them in the new year. He played alongside other Brazilian stars like Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.
He played his first game in La Liga on 8 January 2006. He scored his first goal three weeks later in a 2–1 win against Celta de Vigo. In September 2006, Cicinho got a serious knee injury. This kept him off the field for over six months. He returned to play on 29 April 2007.
Before the 2007–08 season, Cicinho decided to leave Real Madrid. He wanted more playing time.
Time with AS Roma
On 22 August 2007, Cicinho moved to Roma in Italy. He signed a five-year contract with the club. He made his first official appearance for Roma in a 2–0 win against Palermo.
In 2010, Cicinho went back to São Paulo on loan. This was because he was playing less for Roma. In 2011, he returned to Spain on loan to Villarreal.
Cicinho came back to Roma for the 2011–12 season. He played only two matches that season. His contract ended on 30 June, and he returned to Brazil.
Later Career Clubs
After six years away, Cicinho returned to Brazil on 21 June 2012. He signed a one-year contract with Sport.
In July 2013, Cicinho joined Sivasspor, a Turkish club. His former teammate, Roberto Carlos, was the manager there. Cicinho became a key player for Sivasspor. He renewed his contract for two more years in April 2014.
In September 2017, Cicinho signed with Brasiliense. This was for the 2018 season. However, he left the team on 1 March due to a knee injury that kept coming back.
International Career with Brazil
Cicinho played his first game for the Brazil national team on 27 April 2005. It was a 3–0 win against Guatemala.
He was chosen to play in the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup in Germany. He played in every match, and Brazil won the tournament.
On 12 November 2005, Cicinho scored his only goal for Brazil. It was in an 8–0 friendly win against the United Arab Emirates.
Cicinho was part of Brazil's team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. He played in the 4–1 group stage win over Japan. He also played in the quarter-final loss to France.
Personal Life
Cicinho is a citizen of both Brazil and Italy. His Italian grandfather's family name was "De Cesare".
