Clackmannanshire and Dunblane (in Gaelic: Siorrachd Chlach Mhanann agus Dùn Bhlàthain) is a special area, called a constituency, in Scotland. It's part of the Scottish Parliament (also known as Holyrood). This area includes all of Clackmannanshire and some of the Stirling area.
When people in this constituency vote, they choose one person to be their Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP). This MSP represents them in the Scottish Parliament. The winner is chosen by the plurality (first past the post) method, which means the candidate with the most votes wins.
Clackmannanshire and Dunblane is also one of nine constituencies in the Mid Scotland and Fife electoral region. This region also elects seven extra MSPs to make sure different groups are fairly represented. This constituency was created in 2011. It covers most of the area that used to be called Ochil.
The current MSP for this area is Keith Brown from the Scottish National Party. He has been the MSP since the constituency was created. Before that, he was the MSP for the Ochil area.

What is an Electoral Region?
An electoral region is a larger area made up of several constituencies. For example, Clackmannanshire and Dunblane is part of the Mid Scotland and Fife region. This region helps make sure that the Scottish Parliament has a good mix of MSPs from different political parties.
The other eight constituencies in the Mid Scotland and Fife region are:
- Cowdenbeath
- Dunfermline
- Kirkcaldy
- Mid Fife and Glenrothes
- North East Fife
- Perthshire North
- Perthshire South and Kinross-shire
- Stirling
This region covers all of the Clackmannanshire council area, the Fife council area, the Perth and Kinross council area, and the Stirling council area.
Where are the Constituency Boundaries?
This constituency was created for the 2011 Scottish Parliament election. It mostly took over from the old Ochil constituency. It also includes some parts that used to be in the Stirling constituency.
The Clackmannanshire and Dunblane constituency includes all of the Clackmannanshire council area. The rest of the Stirling council area is covered by the Stirling constituency.
