Clarence Abiodun Peters, born on December 20, 1983, is a talented Nigerian filmmaker. He directs music videos, makes movies, and works as a cinematographer. He started his own company called Capital Dream Pictures. This company creates amazing films, videos, and performances. He also founded Capital Hill Records, a music company that helped artists like Chidinma, Tha Suspect, and Illbliss. Channel O, a music TV channel, once listed him as one of the top music video directors.

Clarence Peters: His Life and Work
Clarence Peters grew up with famous parents. His father, Sir Shina Peters, is a musician, and his mother, Clarion Chukwura, is an actress. When he was young, Clarence enjoyed playing football. He went to Beehive Primary School and then Government College Ikorodu.
After finishing secondary school, he worked at Alpha Visions for three years. Later, he studied cinematography at City Varsity, a film school in Cape Town, South Africa. When he returned to Nigeria, Clarence joined other filmmakers to start the Alliance Film Company. This company is now known as the Allied Film Company. After working there for a year, he decided to start his own company, Capital Dream Pictures.
His Creative Journey
Clarence Peters looks up to many famous filmmakers. Some of these include Steven Spielberg, Hype Williams, and Kemi Adetiba. In 1998, he helped make a music video for a documentary about a health topic. He also directed 40 episodes of a TV show called Everyday People.
Clarence has filmed music videos for many popular artists. These include Darey, Durella, and Wizkid. In 2012, he filmed the theme song video for the TV series Shuga. This song featured artists like Boneye, Banky W., Wizkid, and L-Tido. Clarence has also directed documentaries, TV commercials, and short films. In April 2014, a company called Absolut Vodka honored him for his creative work. In September 2015, he announced his 25-minute horror film called Hex. The trailer for this film was released on September 28, 2015.
Capital Hill Music: A Record Label
Clarence Peters met record producer Tha Suspect when they were in secondary school. They became friends and started a music group together. After Clarence came back to Nigeria from South Africa, they formed Capital Hill Records. They wanted to find a female artist who could both rap and sing.
Later, Clarence signed a rapper named Kel to Capital Hill. She was introduced to him by Terry tha Rapman. In September 2010, Kel's contract with the label ended after she had a disagreement with Clarence. While she was with the label, Kel released her first album, The Investment. Later, Capital Hill Records worked with the Goretti Company, a management company owned by Illbliss.
Discussions and Accusations
In January 2014, some people said that Clarence Peters copied ideas for Tiwa Savage's "Eminado" music video. They claimed he took the old-fashioned style from Tumi and the Volume's "Asinamali" video. This video was made to honor the art of Seydou Keïta. Tumi, one of the artists, spoke about this on social media. Tiwa Savage's former manager said they did not know the video's idea was taken from another source.
After Ice Prince's "V.I.P" music video came out in June 2013, Clarence was also accused of copying scenes. People said he used parts from Slaughterhouse's "My Life" video. In February 2014, Ice Prince defended Clarence. He said he was the one who gave Clarence the ideas for the video. Ice Prince added that if anyone had a problem, they should hold him responsible.
