Claud Mintz, known as Claud, is an American singer-songwriter. They are from the suburbs of Chicago. Claud makes a type of music called bedroom pop. They are known for their songs "Soft Spot" and "Wish You Were Gay". Claud is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

Claud's Music Journey

Claud started making music in 2018. At first, they used the name Toast. They released an EP (a short album) that year. In 2019, Claud decided to focus on music full-time. They released another EP called Sideline Star in October 2019.

In 2020, Claud joined a new band called Shelly. They formed the group with Clairo, Josh Mehling, and Noa Frances Getzug. Shelly released two songs, "Steeeam" and "Natural," in October 2020. That same year, Claud made history. They became the first artist to sign with Phoebe Bridgers' record label, Saddest Factory Records.

Claud's first full album, Super Monster, came out on February 12, 2021. Later that year, in October 2021, Claud performed with Bleachers. This was at their Austin City Limits show. Their song "Soft Spot" was even featured on Vogue's list of the best songs of 2021. In 2023, Claud was featured on the song "To Be Yours" by the EDM group Odesza. A song from their album, "A Good Thing," was used in the Netflix show Heartstopper.
