Clear Creek is a small river located in Southeast Texas, United States. This creek plays an important role by carrying water from a large area in southeast Harris County into Clear Lake. From there, the water flows into Galveston Bay.

For most of its length, Clear Creek acts as a natural border. It forms the boundary between Harris County and Galveston County. It also creates the entire border with Brazoria County. The creek begins its journey in the Blue Ridge Oilfield, which is located in Fort Bend County.

Checking Clear Creek's Water Quality

Experts regularly check the health of rivers and lakes. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) looks at the water quality in Clear Creek. They have found certain chemicals in the fish living there.

Because of these chemicals, the TPWD has given a special warning. This warning is called a Fish Consumption Advisory. It tells people that they should not eat any type of fish caught from Clear Creek. This helps keep everyone safe and healthy.
