Cleves is a small village in Ohio, United States. It is located in Hamilton County, within Miami Township. Cleves is a western suburb of Cincinnati and sits along the famous Ohio River. In 2020, about 3,414 people lived there.

Where is Cleves Located?
Cleves is found between two important rivers: the Great Miami River and the Ohio River. Another village, North Bend, is right next to Cleves on its southern side, separating it from the Ohio River.
A major road, U.S. Route 50, goes through Cleves. This road can take you about 16 miles (26 km) east to downtown Cincinnati. If you go west, it leads to Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The village covers a total area of about 1.58 square miles (4.09 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
The History of Cleves
The village of Cleves was started a long time ago, in 1818. It was named after John Cleves Symmes. He was an important person who lived there. Mr. Symmes planned out the first part of the town and sold the land to people.
