Clinton is a city located in Hickman County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is the main town, also known as the county seat, for Hickman County. In 2020, about 1,222 people lived there.

History of Clinton
Clinton got its name from a riverboat or military captain. This person was likely in the area when the first settlers arrived in the late 1820s. The town officially became a city in 1831.
For many years, Clinton was home to Clinton College. This school taught students from 1871 until 1915.
Where is Clinton Located?
Clinton is found in the middle of Hickman County. A major road, U.S. Route 51, goes right through the town. This road is called Washington Street in Clinton.
If you travel north on U.S. Route 51, you can reach Cairo, Illinois, which is about 30 miles away. If you go south, you will get to Fulton, near the Tennessee border, in about 14 miles.
The city of Clinton covers a total area of about 4.2 square kilometers (1.6 square miles). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water.
