The Town of Coal Creek is a small town in Fremont County, Colorado, United States. In 2020, about 364 people lived there. Coal Creek is part of a larger area called the Cañon City, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area. It is also part of the Front Range Urban Corridor, which is a busy area in Colorado.
History of Coal Creek
Coal Creek got its name because of the important coal mining industry that used to be there. A post office opened in the area way back in 1873. The town was officially formed on February 11, 1882.

Coal Creek is found in the southeastern part of Fremont County.
