Coca-Cola Orange is a special version of Coca-Cola that has an orange flavor. It was first released in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar in the summer of 2007. This happened after another flavored Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola with Lime, became very popular the year before.

About Coca-Cola Orange

Coca-Cola Orange was made for people who already enjoyed regular Coca-Cola. It also appealed to those who liked other citrus flavors, like Coke with Lemon and Coke with Lime. This drink first came out with only orange flavor.

You could find Coca-Cola Orange in different sizes. These included 330ml cans, 500ml plastic bottles, and larger two-liter plastic bottles.

Where to Find It

Coca-Cola Orange is no longer sold in stores in the United Kingdom. However, you can still find it in special Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain machines there. The drink is also available in countries like Latvia and Russia. For a short time in 2017, it was sold in Brazil as a seasonal drink.

A similar drink, called Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla, was released in the United States on February 25, 2019.

History of Orange Cola Drinks

In Germany, back in the 1970s, Coca-Cola sold a drink called Mezzo Mix. This drink was very similar to Coca-Cola Orange. Mezzo Mix is also known by other names, like Naranja & Cola or Fanta Mezzo Mix in Spain. In Sweden, it's called Fanta Mezzo. It was launched there in January 2017 for a big music festival.

Mezzo Mix Around the World

Mezzo Mix was one of eight international soda flavors you could taste at Epcot's Club Cool. In the 1990s, there were two kinds of Mezzo Mix: orange and lemon. Another German drink called Spezi also mixes cola with orange.

In July 2007, Mezzo Mix introduced a low-calorie version called Mezzo Mix Zero. This was to compete with other brands that were making healthier options. Mezzo Mix is popular worldwide. But in the United States, you can only find it in Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain machines, which started in 2009.

Newer Orange Flavors

In February 2025, Coca-Cola released Coca-Cola Orange Creme. This flavor is similar to their Orange Vanilla drink. They also launched a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar version of it. To promote the new drink, they offered cool items like beanie hats and inflatable chairs.

The ingredients list for Coca-Cola Orange mentions "orange fruit from concentrate (1%)". This means it has a small amount of real orange juice. However, when Coca-Cola Orange went on sale in Japan in November 2014, the Japanese version did not contain any actual fruit juice.
