The Colisée Pepsi (also known as the Pepsi Coliseum) was a famous building in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It was a place where many different events happened, especially sports like ice hockey. It opened a long time ago, on December 8, 1949, and closed on September 14, 2015.
For many years, the Colisée Pepsi was the home of the Quebec Remparts, a popular junior hockey team that plays in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). It was also where the Quebec Nordiques played. The Nordiques were a professional hockey team that played in two big leagues, the World Hockey Association (WHA) and later the National Hockey League (NHL). In 1995, the Nordiques team moved to Denver, Colorado, and became the Colorado Avalanche.

Home to Famous Hockey Teams
The arena was home to the Quebec Aces from 1950 to 1971. Later, the Quebec Nordiques played there from 1972 to 1995. They started in the WHA and then joined the NHL. After the Nordiques left, other teams like the Quebec Rafales and the Quebec Citadelles also played in the Colisée. The Quebec Remparts played there for many years, from 1969 to 1985, and then again from 1999 until the arena closed in 2015.
Big Hockey Events

1971 Memorial Cup
In 1971, the arena hosted the championship series for the Memorial Cup. This is a big trophy for junior hockey teams in Canada. The Quebec Remparts played against the Edmonton Oil Kings and won the series two games to none.
Summit Series and Canada Cups
The Colisée Pepsi was also part of international hockey history. The first game of the 1974 Summit Series was held there. This was a special series where Canadian WHA all-stars played against the Soviet national team. The arena also hosted one game in the 1976 Canada Cup and another in the 1991 Canada Cup.
