Commanda Lake, sometimes called Lake Commanda, is a beautiful lake in central Ontario, Canada. It sits right on the edge between Patterson Township and Pringle Township. This area is part of the Almaguin Highlands in the District of Parry Sound.
The lake gets its water from three creeks: Gee Creek, Commanda Creek, and Beaudry Creek. Its water then flows out into the Restoule River. Commanda Lake is shaped a bit like the number "3", and its middle part is known as Deep Bay.

About Commanda Lake
Where is Commanda Lake?
Commanda Lake is located in the heart of Ontario, Canada. It's found in a scenic area called the Almaguin Highlands. This region is known for its many lakes and forests. The lake is about 222 meters (729 feet) above sea level.
The small community of Restoule is on the north shore of the lake. Many cottages also line the shorelines, making it a popular spot for visitors. A lot of the land around the lake is "Crown land." This means it's public land managed by the government. There's a public boat launch on Commanda Lake Road. This makes it easy for people to get their boats onto the water.
What's Special About the Lake?
Commanda Lake has a unique shape, looking like the number "3" from above. One part of the lake is called Deep Bay. It's one of the deeper spots. The lake also has one permanent island. This island is located off a point on the east side of the lake.
The bottom of Commanda Lake is mostly mud. Its water is often described as "tea coloured." This is common for lakes in forested areas. It happens when plants and leaves break down in the water. The lake's depth changes with the seasons, usually between 48 and 53 feet.
