Constable Peak is a tall mountain located in British Columbia, Canada. It reaches a height of 2,824 meters (about 9,265 feet). This mountain stands out quite a bit from the land around it. It rises 844 meters (about 2,769 feet) above Racing-Tuchodi Pass.

Constable Peak is connected to King Peak, which is about 15 kilometers (9 miles) away. King Peak is a taller mountain that Constable Peak is linked to. Constable Peak is part of the Tower of London Range. This range is found within the larger Muskwa Ranges in the famous Canadian Rockies.

How Constable Peak Got Its Name

Constable Peak was given its name in 1960. A group called the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) Canadian Rocky Mountains Expedition named it. This was a small group of explorers. They were members of an army regiment. This regiment was based at the historic Tower of London in England.

Naming Other Peaks

The expedition named several mountains in the area. They chose names related to the Tower of London. Some of these peaks include The White Tower and North Bastion Mountain. They also named South Bastion Mountain and Tower Mountain. Tower Mountain can be seen from the south end of Wokkpash Lake.
