Constableville is a small village located in Lewis County, New York, in the United States. In 2020, about 293 people lived there. The village got its name from William Constable, whose father was an early landowner in the area.
Constableville is part of the larger town of West Turin. It is located north of the city of Rome.

History of Constableville
Constableville was the very first place settled in the town of West Turin. People started living here around the year 1796.
Some important historical places in the village are recognized nationally. These include the Constableville Village Historic District, the Jonathan C. Collins House and Cemetery, and Constable Hall. These sites are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which means they are important to the history of the United States. Constable Hall is a large house from the 1800s. It is made of limestone and still has its original furniture.
Geography of Constableville
Constableville is found in the eastern part of the town of West Turin. It covers an area of about 2.9 square kilometers (or 1.12 square miles). All of this area is land.
The Sugar River flows right through the village. This river is a branch of the larger Black River.
The village is located on New York State Route 26. This road goes north for about 17 miles to Lowville. Lowville is the main town of Lewis County. If you go south on Route 26, you will reach Rome, which is about 26 miles away.
