Where is Coopers Plains?
Coopers Plains is located in the eastern part of Steuben County. It is partly in the town of Erwin and partly in the town of Campbell. To the south, it is next to a place called Gang Mills.

The community sits in a valley. The Cohocton River is to the south. Meads Creek is to the northeast. These two waterways meet in the southeast part of Coopers Plains. The Cohocton River flows into the Chemung River. The Chemung River is part of the larger Susquehanna River system.
Getting Around Coopers Plains
Several important roads pass through or near Coopers Plains. New York State Route 415 (also known as Victory Highway) goes through the northern part of the community. Interstate 86 runs along the northern edge of Coopers Plains. You can get onto Interstate 86 from Exit 42, which is County Road 26.
