Corey Michael Locke (born May 8, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played as a centre and left wing. Corey was chosen by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He also played for the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators during his career.

Corey Locke's Hockey Journey
Starting in Junior Hockey
Corey Locke began his hockey journey in junior A hockey with the Newmarket Hurricanes. He then joined the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Locke played three seasons in the OHL. He was a star player, winning the Red Tilson Trophy twice. This award goes to the league's most outstanding player. In 2003, he scored 151 points, which was the most in the entire CHL.
Joining the NHL and AHL
After his great junior career, the Montreal Canadiens picked Corey in the 2003 NHL Draft. He signed a contract with the Canadiens in 2004. Corey then played for their minor league team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, in the AHL. He helped the Bulldogs win the Calder Cup in the 2006–07 season. This is a big championship for AHL teams.
Corey made his first appearance in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens in January 2008. He later played for the New York Rangers and the Ottawa Senators. In 2010, he was named to the AHL Second All-Star Team.
Winning Awards and Championships
Corey continued to shine in the AHL. In 2011, he won the Les Cunningham Award as the AHL's Most Valuable Player (MVP). That same year, his team, the Binghamton Senators, won the AHL championship. This was his second Calder Cup win!
Playing in Europe
After his time in the NHL and AHL, Corey decided to play hockey in Europe. In 2012, he joined TPS in Finland. He also played for teams in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. He played for the Polar Bears in Germany and the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. He also played for EHC Visp in Switzerland and EC VSV and EHC Black Wings Linz in Austria. He finished his career in 2019.

Corey Locke was born in Newmarket, Ontario, which is a town north of Toronto. He still lives there. He has a younger brother named Kyle.
