Corning is a small town located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 883 people lived there. This was a small increase from the 826 people counted in 2000.

Geography of Corning
Corning is found on the western and southwestern side of Lincoln County. It is the biggest town in the county when you look at its total area.
Land and Water Area
The town covers about 379.8 square kilometers (or 146.6 square miles). Most of this area, about 379.2 square kilometers (146.4 square miles), is land. Only a small part, about 0.6 square kilometers (0.2 square miles), is water. This means that water makes up less than one percent of the town's total area.
Rivers and Water Flow
The main rivers in Corning are the Copper River and the New Wood River. These rivers and their smaller streams flow east. They eventually join the Wisconsin River near the city of Merrill. The southwestern part of Corning has water that flows into the Big Rib River. This river then travels south and east to meet the Wisconsin River near Wausau.
