It sits at an elevation of 321 meters (1,053 feet) above sea level.

Where is Corrigan Lake?

You can find Corrigan Lake in the vast wilderness of Northwestern Ontario. It's part of the Greenstone municipality, which is a large area with many lakes and forests. Its location in the Thunder Bay District means it's in a region known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities.

The Journey of Water

Lakes like Corrigan Lake are often connected to other bodies of water through creeks and rivers. Water flows into Corrigan Lake from an unnamed creek on its eastern side. This is called an "inflow."

The water then flows out of Corrigan Lake from its western side. This is called an "outflow." The main outflow from Corrigan Lake is a stream called Corrigan Creek.

How Water Reaches Lake Superior

The water from Corrigan Lake goes on a long journey! After leaving Corrigan Lake through Corrigan Creek, the water flows into the Namewaminikan River. From there, it continues its journey into Lake Nipigon, which is a very large lake in Ontario.

Finally, the water from Lake Nipigon flows through the Nipigon River and empties into Lake Superior. Lake Superior is the largest of the Great Lakes and the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area! So, a drop of water from Corrigan Lake could eventually end up in one of the world's biggest lakes.
