Dacor Tremaine "Cory" Rodgers (born February 22, 1983) is an American former professional football player. He was a talented wide receiver and kick returner. Cory Rodgers played college football for Texas Christian University (TCU).

Early Life and High School Football
Cory Rodgers grew up in Missouri City, Texas. He went to Hightower High School. There, he was a star player on the football team.
He played as the quarterback for his high school team, the Hurricanes. Cory was chosen as an All-District player twice. In his final year, he was even named an All-State player.
During his junior and senior years, he scored many touchdowns. He also gained over 5,000 yards in total offense.
College Football Career at TCU
Cory Rodgers played football for TCU from 2003 to 2005. Fans in Fort Worth loved watching him play. He was known for being very athletic and versatile.
His nickname was "CO-RO." He even had tattoos of "CO" on one calf and "RO" on the other. At TCU, Cory wore the number 17 jersey.
Freshman Season (2003)
In 2003, as a redshirt freshman, Cory was a key player. He caught 37 passes for 590 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. He also ran with the ball 17 times, scoring 3 touchdowns.
Cory was excellent at returning kicks and punts. He set a new school record for total return yards. This record was previously held by Heisman Trophy winner Davey O'Brien. He was recognized as a top freshman wide receiver and punt returner.
Sophomore Season (2004)
In 2004, Cory continued to shine. He led his team with 61 catches for 836 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also ran for 2 touchdowns.
He broke his own school record for total return yards. He was named a top wide receiver and kick returner in his conference.
Junior Season (2005)
Cory led the team again in 2005 with 52 catches for 685 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 5 touchdowns. He was outstanding at returning kicks, averaging 30.3 yards per return.
He scored two kick return touchdowns that year. One was an 87-yard return, and another was an amazing 100-yard return. He was named the first-team All-Mountain West Conference return specialist. He was also recognized as a first-team All-America kick returner by major sports networks.
After his junior season, Cory decided to enter the 2006 NFL draft. He chose to become a professional player early.

NFL Draft and Early Career
On April 30, 2006, the Green Bay Packers picked Cory Rodgers in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He was the 104th player chosen overall.
He signed a contract with the Packers in July 2006. However, he was released by the team in September before the season started. Soon after, he joined the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. He was released by the 49ers later that month.
Canadian Football League (CFL) Experience
In June 2007, Cory Rodgers began playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He joined the BC Lions. In his first season with the Lions, he caught 27 passes for 351 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. He played with the Lions until July 2009.
On July 23, 2009, he signed with the practice roster of the Toronto Argonauts. Cory played his first game for the Argonauts on August 1, 2009. In that game, he had 6 catches for 54 yards. He also returned a punt for 11 yards. He was released by the Argonauts in September 2009.
