Cottekill is a small community in Ulster County, New York, United States. It is a type of settlement called a hamlet. Cottekill is located in the beautiful Rondout Valley.
This hamlet is part of the Town of Rosendale. It is about 2.25 miles east of Stone Ridge. Cottekill is also 2.5 miles northwest of Rosendale Village. The larger city of Kingston is about 8.75 miles south. The village of New Paltz is 10.9 miles north. In 2014, about 451 people lived in Cottekill.

The trail continues north from the firehouse. It follows the old O&W path. It crosses Marcott Road and ends at Route 209. It is a great place for walking or biking.
