Courtney Ramey (born October 2, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Start Lublin in the Polish Basketball League (PLK). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns and the Arizona Wildcats.

High School Career
Courtney Ramey played basketball at Webster Groves High School in Webster Groves, Missouri. In his junior year, he was a star player. He scored about 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and made six assists per game. His amazing play helped his team win the Class 5 state championship. He was even named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Player of the Year.
In his senior year, Ramey continued to shine. He averaged 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game. He led his team to win their second straight Class 5 state title. He also shared the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Player of the Year award with E. J. Liddell. When he left high school, he held the school records for most points and assists ever. He was also honored as Mr. Show-Me Basketball, which means he was the top high school player in Missouri.
Ramey first planned to play college basketball for Louisville. However, he changed his mind after an investigation involving their basketball program. He then decided to play for the Texas Longhorns. He chose Texas over offers from Louisville, Missouri, and Oklahoma State.
College Career
As a freshman at Texas, Courtney Ramey quickly made an impact. His coach, Shaka Smart, praised him for his strong play on both offense and defense. He averaged 8.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He helped his team win the 2019 National Invitation Tournament, which is a big college basketball championship.
In his sophomore season, Ramey continued to improve. On February 9, 2019, he had an amazing game against Kansas State. He scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, and made five steals, helping his team win 70–59. That season, he averaged 10.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He was also named to the All-Big 12 honorable mention team.
During his junior year, on January 2, 2021, Ramey scored 18 points. This helped his team upset the third-ranked Kansas team with a score of 84–59. He averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game that season. He earned a spot on the Third Team All-Big 12. After this season, he thought about entering the 2021 NBA draft. This meant he could try to join the NBA while still being able to return to college if he wanted.

Professional Career
Courtney Ramey began his professional basketball journey on June 30, 2023. He signed his first contract with Syntainics MBC. This team plays in the German Basketball Bundesliga. However, he left the team on October 14 of the same year.
On November 6, 2023, Ramey joined Nevėžis Kėdainiai. This team is part of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL).
Most recently, on August 2, 2024, he signed with Start Lublin. This team plays in the Polish Basketball League (PLK), where he plays today.
Personal Life
Courtney Ramey wears the number 3 jersey when he plays. This number is very special to him. It honors three important people in his life who passed away when he was a child: his grandmother, his mother, and his best friend, Alvin.
