Courtney Zablocki (born January 28, 1981) is an American luge athlete. She was a top competitor on the World Cup luge circuit from 1997 to 2010. Courtney also competed in eight World Championships during her career.

Courtney Zablocki: A Luge Star
Courtney Zablocki is best known for her amazing performance at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. She finished fourth in the women's singles event, just missing a medal by a tiny amount of time – only 0.392 seconds! This was her best finish in two Winter Olympic appearances.
Early Life and Luge Career
Courtney was born in Hinsdale, Illinois. She later lived in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She started competing in luge at a young age and quickly became a talented athlete. Her hard work led her to compete against the best luge athletes in the world.
World Championship Achievements
Besides the Olympics, Courtney also competed in the FIL World Luge Championships. Her best result at these championships was ninth place in the women's singles event. This happened in Nagano, Japan, in 2004.
Life After Luge
After the 2006 Winter Olympics, Courtney Zablocki joined the Colorado Army National Guard. Before that, she worked in the gardening department at The Home Depot from 2004 to the summer of 2006.
In April 2009, Courtney had surgery on both of her hands to help with pain. The surgery was successful. On August 9, 2010, she announced that she was retiring from competitive luge. However, she still wanted to stay involved with USA Luge in some way.
Courtney Landin: New Adventures
On June 30, 2009, Courtney married and took her husband's last name, Landin. Courtney Landin now lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She owns two businesses that focus on health and well-being: LivingHealthyHappy.com and HappySleepingBaby.com.
Courtney Landin has also written several books. Her first book is about training during pregnancy. She has since written two more books: "Happy Sleeping Baby ~ Your guide for sleep success" and a training book for after pregnancy. All of her books can be found on her websites.
She has also created an online training course called "Gravidstyrka Certification." This course helps other professionals learn how to support women during and after their pregnancies.
