How Did Crestmont Farms Start?
Crestmont Farms used to be a large farm. It was about 40 acres in size. In 1926, this farm was divided into 70 spots for houses. Thomas R. Coale was the person who developed this area. He was also the president of the Crestmont Farms Improvement Company.
A Special Connection to History
The land where Crestmont Farms is located has a cool historical link. It was once part of the summer home estate of Saint Katherine Drexel's family. Their original summer home building is still standing today. It is now part of the nearby Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.
