A Noble Family History

Cristóbal Colón de Carvajal inherited his titles in 1986. He received them from his father, who was the 17th Duke of Veragua. His father passed away in a difficult situation.

The title of Duke of Veragua is very old. It has been held by his family since 1986. The Duchy of Veragua is connected to the Veraguas Province in the country of Panama today. Because of this, Cristóbal Colón de Carvajal has strong ties to Panamanian society.

In 2011, one of his other titles, Duke of la Vega, was passed on. It went to his son, Ángel Santiago Colón de Mandalúniz. This is a common practice in noble families.
