Cristian's Football Journey
Cristian was born in Barcelona, a big city in Spain. He started his football journey in the famous youth system of FC Barcelona. This is where young players learn and train to become professional footballers.
Starting Out at Barcelona
Cristian played for Barcelona's B-team. This team is for players who are almost ready for the main professional team. He scored several goals while playing as a forward. A forward is a player whose main job is to score goals.
Later, his coaches changed his position to a winger. He did very well in this new role. In the 2005–06 season, he scored 11 goals in the Segunda División B, which is Spain's third-highest football league. He even played one official game for the main FC Barcelona team in a cup match.
Playing in La Liga
In 2006, Cristian joined Deportivo de La Coruña. This was a big step because they played in La Liga, Spain's top football league. He made his first appearance in La Liga on August 27, 2006. He came into the game as a substitute in a match against Real Zaragoza.
He scored his first goal in La Liga while playing against Real Madrid. This was a big moment for him! In his second year with Deportivo, he scored another goal against his old club, Barcelona.
Moving to Hércules CF
After playing fewer games, Cristian left Deportivo in 2009. He then joined Hércules CF, a team in the Segunda División (Spain's second division). He signed a three-year contract with them.
In his first season with Hércules, he helped the team get promoted back to La Liga. This was a big achievement for the club, as they hadn't been in the top league for 13 years!
Adventures Abroad
