The Crowsnest Range is a group of mountains found in the Rocky Mountains. It stretches across southwestern Alberta and southeastern British Columbia in Canada.
This mountain range is located just south of the Crowsnest Pass. This pass is a natural gap that separates the Crowsnest Range from the High Rock Range. The Crowsnest Range is part of a larger group of mountains called the Southern Continental Ranges of the Canadian Rockies.
Within the Crowsnest Range, there are smaller mountain groups, often called sub-ranges. These include the Lizard Range, Taylor Range, Flathead Range, and Blairmore Range. They are arranged from north to south.
The Crowsnest Range covers a large area of about 2,694 square kilometers (1,040 square miles). It is about 64 kilometers long from north to south. It is also about 104 kilometers wide. The tallest mountain in this range is Mount Ptolemy. It stands very tall at 2,812 meters (9,226 feet) above sea level.
