Cuddebackville is a small community known as a hamlet. It is located in Deerpark, New York, within Orange County, New York, in the United States. You can find it about 10 miles north of Port Jervis if you take US-209.
Cuddebackville is home to Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School. This school is part of the Port Jervis City School District. The hamlet also features the Delaware and Hudson Railway Canal Park. Another special place here is the Neversink River Unique Area. The hamlet was named after William Cuddeback. He was a general during the War of 1812. His family was one of the first to settle in this area.

The Cuddebackville Dam
Cuddebackville once had a dam called the Cuddebackville Dam. This dam was built in the 1820s. It was made even bigger in 1903. However, in October 2004, the dam was removed. The Army Corps of Engineers took it down. This was done to help the fish and other water animals in the river. Removing the dam made the river flow more naturally.
