Currajong, Queensland facts for kids
Currajong is a suburb of the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It had a population of 2,628 in 2011 census.
History
The name Currajong is believed to be derived from the name of a residence in Stagpole Street, West End, owned by Edward Hunt. In about 1888 Hunt planted currajong trees in the grounds.
Currajong State School opened on 28 June 1954.
The Marian School opened in 1988.
