College Basketball Career
Strawberry played college basketball for the Maryland Terrapins. He was known for being a versatile player, called a "swingman," who could play both shooting guard and small forward. He was especially good at defense, often guarding the best player on the other team. He led his team in steals, showing how good he was at taking the ball from opponents.
In his junior year, he also played as a point guard, helping his team by leading in assists. Sadly, he got an injury in his knee during his sophomore year. This injury kept him from playing for a while. In his senior year, he was chosen for the second team All-ACC, which is a big honor in college basketball.
