Daillens is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It's located in the canton of Vaud, which is like a state, and is part of the Gros-de-Vaud district.

History
Daillens is quite old! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1109. Back then, its name was spelled Dallens.
Geography
Daillens covers an area of about 5.52 square kilometers (2.13 square miles). A large part of this land, about 65%, is used for farming. This means there are many fields for growing crops and pastures for animals.
Around 20% of Daillens is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 14%, has buildings and roads. A very small part, less than 1%, includes rivers or lakes.
The town used to be part of the Cossonay District. But in 2006, it became part of the new Gros-de-Vaud district.
