Dallas Dupree Young (born October 25, 2006) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in the TV shows Cousins for Life on Nickelodeon and Cobra Kai on Netflix. He also appeared in The Fosters.

Early Life and Dreams
Dallas Dupree Young grew up in Houston, Texas. His dad, Eric Young Sr., was a professional Major League Baseball player. His older brother, Eric Young Jr., also plays professional baseball.
Dallas first wanted to be a professional athlete like them. He even dreamed of playing for the Colorado Rockies. Besides baseball, he loves basketball and football. When he was 5 or 6, Dallas also studied karate. Later, he took kickboxing lessons.
How He Started Acting
Dallas's plans changed when a neighbor suggested he try acting. He watched shows like Family Matters, Hannah Montana, and Jessie. These shows helped him find his love for acting.
He met a talent scout named Diana Horner. Dallas went to an acting showcase in Los Angeles. There, he met his manager, who then introduced him to an agent. Dallas started getting acting jobs right away! He looks up to actor Denzel Washington a lot. By 2019, Dallas was homeschooled. This helped him manage his busy acting schedule.
His Acting Career
Dallas started acting at age 9 in a short film. His first TV appearance was in a documentary series called Murder Among Friends. He filmed his audition on his manager's front lawn. He got the job the very next day!
He then appeared in episodes of popular shows. These included Shameless, The Mayor, The Good Place, and The Fosters. He also had a small part in the 2018 movie Ready Player One.
Starring Roles
In 2018, Dallas got his first main role. He played Stuart in the Nickelodeon comedy show Cousins for Life. The show was created by Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert. In 2019, he was in two episodes of ABC's Mixed-ish. He also got a role in a movie called The Royal, about baseball player Willie Aikens.
In 2020, Dallas appeared in the Fox drama 9-1-1. That same year, he had a recurring role on another Netflix show, The Big Show Show. He played a character named Taylor.
Joining Cobra Kai
In 2021, Dallas joined the Netflix series Cobra Kai. This show is a sequel to The Karate Kid movies. He plays Kenny Payne. At 15, Dallas was the youngest main cast member on the show.
He auditioned for the role in 2020. The whole process took about three weeks. Dallas grew up watching the original Karate Kid movies. He waited until he got the role to watch the Cobra Kai TV series. This made him even more excited! To get ready for his role, he learned martial arts. He also studied famous martial artists like Bruce Lee and Wesley Snipes. This helped him with his fight scenes.
Dallas is also set to appear in The Royal. He starred in 1-800-Hot-Nite, which came out in 2022 on Paramount+ with Showtime.
