Dalyn Daeel Dawkins (born December 26, 1994) is a former American professional football player. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). Before turning professional, he played college football for the Colorado State Rams.

Growing Up and High School Football
Dalyn Dawkins was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He went to Trinity High School. In his senior year, he ran for 1,479 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He was named second-team All-State for his amazing performance.
Many colleges wanted Dalyn to play for them. He chose to play college football for Purdue.
College Football Career
Dalyn started his college career at Purdue. As a freshman, he ran for 115 yards and caught nine passes for 84 yards. He played in nine games for the Boilermakers.
After his first year, Dalyn decided to transfer to Colorado State University. He wanted to play in an offense that ran the ball more often. He had to sit out the 2014 season because of college transfer rules.
Playing for Colorado State
Dalyn played for the Rams for three seasons. In his first year with the Rams, he played in 12 games. He ran for 867 yards and scored one touchdown. He also caught 24 passes for 178 yards and another touchdown.
The next season, he played in 12 games again. He rushed for 919 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also caught 20 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown.
In his senior year, Dalyn had a fantastic season. He rushed for 1,349 yards and scored eight touchdowns. He ran for over 100 yards in seven of Colorado State's eight conference games. He was named second-team All-Mountain West Conference.
Dalyn finished his college career with 3,185 rushing yards. This is the third-most in Colorado State history. He also caught 70 passes for 650 yards and three touchdowns.
Professional Football Career
Tennessee Titans
In 2018, the Tennessee Titans signed Dalyn Dawkins as an undrafted free agent. He joined the team on May 11, 2018. He made his NFL debut on September 23 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Dalyn was moved between the active roster and the practice squad several times. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans in December 2018.
He made the Titans' main roster for the 2019 season. However, he was waived after Week 1. He then rejoined the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster again in October 2019. Dalyn continued to move between the active roster and practice squad. He signed another reserve/future contract with the Titans in January 2020. He was waived by the team in August 2020.
Detroit Lions
On October 22, 2020, Dalyn was signed to the Detroit Lions' practice squad. He was released two days later. He was re-signed to the practice squad on October 29. He was released again on November 4. He rejoined the practice squad on November 11. He was released in December 2020, but re-signed to their practice squad later that month.
Houston Gamblers
In 2022, Dalyn Dawkins was chosen by the Houston Gamblers in the USFL draft. He was inactive for a game against the New Orleans Breakers on May 8, 2022. He was moved back to the active roster on May 14.
Personal Life
Dalyn Dawkins comes from a family of football players. His uncle is Brian Dawkins, a Hall of Fame safety. Dalyn's father, Ralph Dawkins, also played college football. He was a running back for Louisville. Ralph signed with the New Orleans Saints but did not play in an NFL game due to an injury.
