Damen Bell-Holter was born on April 13, 1990. His traditional name is Nangghaahlaangstangs. He is a professional basketball player from Hydaburg, Alaska. He played for teams like Fortitudo Agrigento in Italy and even the Boston Celtics.
Damen is an Alaska Native and a member of the Haida people. He also has African-American family roots. He played college basketball at Oral Roberts University. Today, he coaches young athletes across the Pacific Northwest. He also gives inspiring speeches. Damen Bell-Holter hoped to join the NBA in the 2013 NBA draft. However, he was not chosen by any team.
Playing for Different Teams
After the draft, Damen signed with a German team called Telekom Baskets Bonn in August 2013. But he left the team later that month.
On September 30, 2013, he got a chance to sign with the Boston Celtics. He played in three practice games for them. But the Celtics decided to let him go on October 26, 2013. Soon after, on October 31, 2013, he joined the Maine Red Claws. This team was connected to the Celtics.
In July 2014, Damen signed with BC Körmend in Hungary. But he left before playing any games for them. In October 2014, he signed with Pertevniyal İstanbul in Turkey.
Later, on July 21, 2016, Bell-Holter signed with an Italian team, Fortitudo Agrigento. He continued his professional basketball career there.
