Daniel Anthony (born October 4, 1987) is an actor from England. He is famous for playing Clyde Langer in the TV show The Sarah Jane Adventures. This show is a spin-off from Doctor Who. He also played Jamie Collier in the medical drama Casualty.

Daniel Anthony's Early Life and Acting Start
Daniel Anthony was born in Quinton, Birmingham, England, on October 4, 1987. When he was young, Daniel was quite shy. To help him become more outgoing, his mom sent him to a drama club. This club was in South London.
Daniel quickly fell in love with acting. He was so good that a talent agency noticed him. This agency owned the drama club, and they signed him up to be an actor. Daniel has said that Will Smith's acting in the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air really inspired him when he was starting out.
Daniel Anthony's Acting Career
Daniel Anthony began acting when he was a child. He performed in several big musicals in London's West End.
Early Stage Roles
One of his first major roles was playing young Simba in the original production of The Lion King in 1999. He also appeared in Oliver! in 1994 at the London Palladium. Later, he played Curtis Younger in A Raisin in the Sun in 2001. In 2006, he played Pip in a play called Moby-Dick.
In 2003, Daniel used his voice for a BBC Radio 4 show. He voiced Will Parry in the radio version of the His Dark Materials book series.
TV Roles and Recognitions
Daniel's early TV roles included JJ in EastEnders in 2004. He also played Lex Keavey in Doctors in 2006. For his work in Doctors, he was nominated for a British Soap Award for Best Newcomer. He was also considered for Villain of the Year.
In 2007, he played Danny in As the Bell Rings. In 2008, he was in Dis/Connected, a TV drama. He also had a small part in the show Demons in 2009. In 2010, he played Jack in the musical film Rules of Love.
From 2013 to 2014, Daniel was a regular on the medical drama Casualty. He played Jamie Collier, who was the nephew of another character named Jeff. Daniel described his character Jamie as "the calm one, the voice of reason." In 2016, he starred as Royston Peel in the crime drama Brotherhood. In 2021, he joined the UK tour of Magic Goes Wrong, playing the role of Mickey.
Starring in The Sarah Jane Adventures
Daniel Anthony is well-known for his role as Clyde Langer in The Sarah Jane Adventures. This show is a spin-off from the popular science fiction series Doctor Who. He was a main character from 2007 to 2011.
Daniel described Clyde as "the joker of the group." He said Clyde "always has an answer for everything, even though 99% of the time it was probably wrong!" Daniel enjoyed playing Clyde because he loves comedy.
Daniel also narrated an audiobook for The Sarah Jane Adventures called Children of Steel in 2011. In 2020, he briefly played Clyde again in a special online episode. This episode, "Farewell, Sarah Jane", was a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith.
In 2022, it was announced that Daniel would return as Clyde Langer for new audio stories. These stories are called Beyond Bannerman Road: Rani Takes on the World. They are set 15 years after the TV show ended. In 2023, Daniel also played Clyde Langer in Tales of the TARDIS.
