Darin Young started playing darts professionally in 1992. He is known for being left-handed. His career has included many exciting matches and tournaments.
Playing in the PDC World Championship
Darin Young first played in the PDC World Darts Championship in 2005. He lost in the first round that year. The first round is the very beginning of the tournament. He played again in 2006 but lost in the first round once more.
He returned to the World Championship in 2009. He lost to a young player named Michael van Gerwen. In 2010, Darin won his first match at the World Championship! He beat Andy Smith 3-2. But he then lost in the second round. The second round means he was among the top 64 players.
Darin kept trying to win the World Championship. He played in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016. Each time, he faced tough opponents and lost in the early rounds. In 2020, he had a big win in the first round. He beat the famous player Raymond van Barneveld 3-1. This was a very exciting match! However, he lost in the second round to Jeffrey de Zwaan.
