Darius Slayton (born January 12, 1997) is an American professional football player. He plays as a wide receiver for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football at Auburn University. The Giants picked him in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Early Life and College Football
Darius Slayton grew up in Norcross, Georgia. He played high school football at Greater Atlanta Christian School.
After high school, Slayton went to Auburn University to play college football. He spent his first year, 2015, as a redshirt. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. He then played for Auburn from 2016 to 2018. During his college career, he caught 79 passes for 1,605 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.
Playing in the NFL
Darius Slayton joined the New York Giants in 2019. He was chosen in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. He was the 18th wide receiver picked that year.
2019 Season: Rookie Year
Slayton played his first NFL game in Week 3. He caught three passes for 82 yards. In his third game, he scored his first NFL touchdown. Later that season, he had two touchdowns against the Detroit Lions. In Week 10, he caught 10 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a huge game against the Philadelphia Eagles with 154 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Slayton finished his first year leading the Giants in receiving yards. He had 48 catches for 740 yards and eight touchdowns.
2020 Season
Slayton started the 2020 season strong. In the first game, he caught six passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 5, he had eight catches for 129 yards. He ended the 2020 season with 50 catches for 751 yards and three touchdowns.
2021 Season
In 2021, Slayton played in 13 games. He caught 26 passes for 339 yards. He also scored two touchdowns during the season.
2022 Season
The 2022 season was a good one for Slayton. In Week 10, he had a career-high average of 31.7 yards per catch. He scored a 54-yard touchdown in that game. He finished the season with 46 catches for 724 yards and two touchdowns.
2023 Season
Before the 2023 season, Slayton signed a new two-year contract with the Giants. He continued to be an important player for the team. He finished the 2023 season with 50 catches for 770 yards. He also scored four touchdowns.
