Darius Slayton is an American professional football player. He was born on January 12, 1997. Darius plays as a wide receiver for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Auburn Tigers. The Giants picked him in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football

Darius Slayton grew up and went to high school in Norcross, Georgia. He played high school football at Greater Atlanta Christian School.

College Football Journey

After high school, Darius went to Auburn University to play college football. He spent his first year, 2015, as a "redshirt" player. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. He then played on the field for Auburn from 2016 to 2018.

Darius Slayton's NFL Career

Darius Slayton began his professional football career in 2019. The New York Giants chose him in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He was the 18th wide receiver picked that year.

2019: A Strong Start

Darius played his first NFL game in Week 3. He caught three passes for 82 yards. In his third game, he scored a 35-yard touchdown. Later, against the Detroit Lions, he caught two passes for 50 yards, both for touchdowns. In Week 10, he had 10 catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. 2020: Continuing to Shine

In the first game of the 2020 season, Darius had six catches for 102 yards. He also scored two touchdowns. In Week 5, he caught eight passes for 129 yards. For the 2020 season, he had 50 catches for 751 yards. He scored three touchdowns that year.

2021: Facing Challenges

In Week 2 of the 2021 season, Darius caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. He played in 13 games and started five. He finished the season with 26 catches for 339 yards. He scored two touchdowns.

2022: Big Plays and Yards

In Week 10 of the 2022 season, Darius had a great game. He averaged 31.7 yards per catch, which was his best in a single game. He also scored a 54-yard touchdown. He ended that game with three catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. He played in 16 games and started 11. He finished the season with 46 catches for 724 yards and two touchdowns.

2023: New Contract and More Yards

2024: Another Solid Season

In Week 8 of the 2024 season, Darius had four catches for 108 yards. He played in 16 games and started 13. He finished the 2024 season with 39 catches for 573 yards. He also scored two touchdowns.

2025: Re-signing with the Giants

On March 10, 2025, Darius Slayton signed another contract with the Giants. This new deal was for three years.
