Darling Downs is a suburb located in the south-east part of Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. The name "Darling Downs" comes from its closeness to the Darling Scarp, which is a range of hills. This name was first used for a housing estate in 1977. Later, in 1997, it officially became the name for the suburb.
