Dawn Ellerbe (born April 3, 1974, in Central Islip, New York) is a former American track and field athlete. She was a specialist in the hammer throw, which is an event where athletes throw a heavy metal ball attached to a wire and handle. Dawn is also known for her work as an assistant athletic director, a fashion model, and a blogger. She is a member of the University of South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame.

Becoming a Top Athlete
Dawn Ellerbe was a standout athlete during her time at the University of South Carolina. She won many major college competitions, including four NCAA championships. She was also named an All-American six times, which means she was recognized as one of the best college athletes in the country.
