A Unique Coffee Experience
Deadstock Coffee wants everyone to feel welcome. They call themselves "snob-free" and have a fun slogan which means they believe coffee should be amazing and enjoyable for all.
Creative Drinks and Sneaker Art
The shop is famous for its creative, sneaker-themed drinks. Some of their special menu items include:
- The Steph Curry: A delicious white chocolate mocha.
- The Lebronald Palmer: A mix of coffee, sweet tea, and lemonade.
- The Luther Vandross: A tasty lavender mocha.
A cool feature at Deadstock is the coffee art. You can get your drink topped with a stenciled picture of a sneaker. They have designs for famous brands like Adidas, Jordans, Nikes, and Reebok. They also serve chai lattes made with a brand called One Stripe Chai.
The Story of Deadstock Coffee
Deadstock Coffee started small as a cart. In August 2015, it grew into a full coffee shop with a sneaker theme in the Old Town Chinatown neighborhood.
In 2020, the shop became very popular and saw a big increase in customers. That year, the owner, Ian Williams, announced plans to open a second location in a new development in northeast Portland.
In 2023, Deadstock Coffee worked with a Haitian restaurant called Kann. Together, they created and launched a special custom coffee blend for people to enjoy.
