Deion Belue (born September 3, 1991) is a former American football player. He played as a cornerback, which is a defensive position in football. Deion played college football at the University of Alabama. After college, he joined the Miami Dolphins in 2014. He also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Deion Belue's Early Life and High School Football
Deion Belue grew up in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He went to Deshler High School. While playing football there, he was chosen for the Alabama Sports Writers Association 4A All-State team two times. This means he was one of the best players in his state for his age group.
High School Achievements
In 2008, when he was a junior, Deion made 70 tackles. A tackle is when a defensive player stops an offensive player who has the ball. He also caught four interceptions, which means he caught the ball when the other team's quarterback threw it. Two of these interceptions he ran all the way back for touchdowns.
Deion was also great at returning the ball. He returned two punts and one kickoff for touchdowns. He also caught passes for over 800 yards and scored five touchdowns as a receiver.
Deion Belue's College Football Journey
Before playing for the University of Alabama, Deion spent two seasons at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was recognized as one of the best junior college players in the country. In 2011, he was named to the second-team NJCAA All-American team.
Playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide
In his first year at Alabama, Deion started every game. He made 40 tackles and had 6.5 tackles that stopped the other team from gaining yards. He also caught two interceptions and returned a fumbled ball 57 yards for a touchdown. Deion was good at breaking up passes, meaning he stopped the other team from completing their throws.
In 2013, during his senior year, he started 11 games. He recorded 20 tackles and had one interception against the Tennessee team.
Deion Belue's Professional Football Career
After college, Deion Belue tried out for professional football teams.
Time with NFL Teams
On May 12, 2014, Deion signed with the Miami Dolphins. He joined them as an undrafted free agent, which means he wasn't chosen in the main player draft but was signed afterward. He was later released by the Dolphins.
Soon after, on May 29, 2014, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed him. However, his time with them was also short.
On July 23, 2014, Deion signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released by the Jaguars on August 25, 2014. For these NFL teams, he was mostly on the inactive list or practice squad, meaning he didn't play in regular games.
Playing in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos
On June 1, 2015, Deion Belue signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was part of the team's practice roster in 2015. That year, the Edmonton Eskimos won the Grey Cup, which is the championship game of the CFL.
