Demetric Felton Jr. (born July 16, 1998) is an American professional football player. He plays as a running back for the Washington Commanders in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the UCLA Bruins. The Cleveland Browns picked him in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Early Life and High School
Demetric Felton grew up in Temecula, California. He went to Great Oak High School. In his final year of high school, he was a great runner. He gained 1,347 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. After high school, he decided to play college football at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
College Football Career
Felton started his college career at UCLA in 2016. He spent his first year as a "redshirt," which means he practiced with the team but didn't play in games. This allowed him to gain experience.
In 2017, he played in 12 games. He ran for 75 yards and scored one touchdown. In 2018, he switched to playing wide receiver. He started eight games and caught 20 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown.
His role grew in 2019. He ran the ball 86 times for 331 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 55 passes for 594 yards and four touchdowns.
In 2020, Felton became UCLA's main running back. He had an amazing game against Arizona. He ran for 206 yards on 32 carries. He finished the season as one of the top rushers in his conference. He was named second-team All-Pac-12.
Professional Football Career
Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns chose Demetric Felton in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the 211th player picked overall. He signed a four-year contract with the team.
Felton had a strong start with the Browns. He showed he could play as a running back, receiver, and kick returner. He scored his first NFL touchdown on September 19, 2021. This was in a game against the Houston Texans. He was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team for his great first year. The Browns released him in August 2023.
Moving Between Teams
After leaving the Browns, Felton joined the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad in 2023. A practice squad is where players train with the team but are not on the main roster. His contract with the Bengals ended in January 2024.
In 2024, Felton signed with the Chicago Bears in July. However, he was waived (released) by them in August. The very next day, the Indianapolis Colts claimed him. He was waived by the Colts later that month.
Felton then signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). Later in December 2024, he returned to the Chicago Bears' practice squad for a second time. He was released by Chicago again shortly after.
Washington Commanders
In December 2024, Felton signed with the Birmingham Stallions again. Then, in January 2025, he signed a futures contract with the Washington Commanders. This means he will join the Commanders for the upcoming NFL season.
