Olympic Gold Medalist

Demetrius Pinder's biggest achievement came at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He competed in the 400 metres individual race, reaching the final and finishing seventh. However, it was in the 4x400 metre relay where he truly shined.

He teamed up with Chris Brown, Michael Mathieu, and Ramon Miller to form the Bahamian relay team. They surprised many by beating the strong United States team, who were favorites to win. The Bahamian team set a new national record with their incredible time of 2:56.72, earning them the gold medal. This was a historic moment for the Bahamas in athletics.

In 2013, his Olympic gold medal was taken from his car in Florida. Luckily, local police were able to find and return it to him.
