Devonte' Terrell Graham (born February 22, 1995) is an American professional basketball player. He last played for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. He also played high school basketball at Needham Broughton High School.

High School Basketball Journey
Devonte' Graham went to Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. In his senior year, he was a star player. He scored about 15.7 points and made 5.4 assists per game. His team had a great record of 26 wins and 6 losses. They even made it to the state championship game in the 2012–13 season.
Graham first planned to play for Appalachian State. But he later wanted to play for a different team. Because of this, he decided to spend an extra year at Brewster Academy. This school is in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
At Brewster Academy, Graham continued to shine. He averaged 17.2 points and 5.0 assists per game. He helped his team win both the national prep championship and the New England championship in the 2013–14 season. On May 2, 2014, Graham chose to play for Kansas. He picked them over other big schools like North Carolina State and Virginia.
College Basketball Years
Freshman Season at Kansas
As a freshman at Kansas, Devonte' Graham played well. He averaged 5.7 points and 2.1 assists per game. He scored his highest points that season, 20, against TCU in February 2015. In the NCAA Tournament, he scored 17 points against Wichita State.
Sophomore Season Highlights
In his sophomore year, Graham scored a career-high 27 points against Oklahoma. This earned him the Big 12 Player of the Week award in February 2016. He was also named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team. Graham was named the MVP of the 2016 Big 12 men's basketball tournament. He scored 27 points in the championship game against West Virginia. For the 2015–16 season, he averaged 11.3 points per game. He shot 46 percent overall and 44 percent from three-point range.
Junior Season Achievements
As a junior, Graham was recognized as a Second Team All-Big 12 player. He and Frank Mason III were key players for Kansas. Their team won 31 games and lost only 5. However, they lost in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. Graham averaged 13.4 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game that season. In April, he announced he would return for his senior year.
Senior Season Success
Before his senior season, Graham was named the preseason Big 12 Player of the Year. On November 28, he scored a career-high 35 points against Toledo. He matched this score in the next game against Syracuse. Graham was unanimously chosen as the Big 12 Player of the Year. He averaged 17.6 points and 7.2 assists per game. He was also named a First Team All-American. He led his team to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas. During his senior year, he played about 38 minutes per game.
Professional Basketball Career
Charlotte Hornets and Greensboro Swarm (2018–2021)
Devonte' Graham was picked 34th overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He was then traded to the Charlotte Hornets. In his first few summer league games, he averaged ten points and six assists. He made his NBA debut on October 22, 2018, against the Toronto Raptors.
On October 23, 2019, Graham scored 23 points and had eight assists. This helped the Hornets win against the Chicago Bulls. He made six three-pointers, helping the Hornets set a new team record for three-pointers in a game. On December 11, 2019, Graham scored a career-high 40 points. This helped his team win against the Brooklyn Nets.
Graham was also featured on The Dodo's YouTube channel in June 2021. The video was about his basketball career and his German Shepherd dog, Charlotte, named after the Hornets team.
New Orleans Pelicans (2021–2023)
On August 7, 2021, Graham was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. He played his first game for the Pelicans on October 20. He scored 18 points and had five assists. On November 26, Graham made a game-winning three-pointer with only 1.9 seconds left. This gave the Pelicans a close win over the Utah Jazz.
On December 15, he made an amazing 61-foot shot at the buzzer! This shot helped the Pelicans win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It set an NBA record for the longest game-winning shot at the buzzer. On March 24, 2022, Graham scored a season-high 30 points against the Chicago Bulls. The Pelicans made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Graham played in his first playoff game on April 17.
San Antonio Spurs (2023–2024)
On February 9, 2023, Graham was traded to the San Antonio Spurs. He played his first game for the Spurs the very next day. He scored a season-high 31 points. This was the most points ever scored by a player in their Spurs debut!
In August 2023, Graham faced a brief suspension. On April 12, 2024, Graham made another game-winning shot. This time, it was against the Denver Nuggets. On July 6, 2024, Graham was traded back to the Charlotte Hornets but was then waived. He later signed with the Portland Trail Blazers but was waived again in October.
South Bay Lakers (2024–2025)
On December 13, 2024, Graham signed with the South Bay Lakers. On February 11, 2025, he was traded to the Rip City Remix.
