Schley is a small town located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 934 people lived there. You can find a few small communities within Schley, like Doering and Dutch Corners. Part of the community of Bloomville is also in the town.

Exploring Schley's Location
Schley is in the southeastern part of Lincoln County. It shares a border with Langlade County to its east.
Wisconsin Highway 17 runs through the northwest area of the town. This highway can take you about 9 miles (14 km) southwest to Merrill. Merrill is the main city and county seat of Lincoln County. If you head north-northeast on the highway, you'll reach Rhinelander, which is about 31 miles (50 km) away.
Land and Water in Schley
The United States Census Bureau tells us that Schley covers a total area of about 48.4 square miles (125.3 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 48.2 square miles (124.8 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.2 square miles (0.6 square kilometers), is water. This means water makes up less than half a percent of the town's total area.
The northwest part of Schley has the Prairie River flowing through it. Other parts of the town are drained by smaller streams that flow into the Pine River. Both the Prairie River and the Pine River flow southwest and eventually join the larger Wisconsin River.

In the year 2000, a census showed that 909 people lived in Schley. These people lived in 356 households, and 264 of these were families. The town had about 18.8 people living in each square mile. There were also 395 housing units, which are places where people can live.
Most of the people living in Schley were White, making up about 99.12% of the population. A small number of people were Asian (0.55%) or from other races (0.22%). About 0.88% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
