Dominique Ramone Dorsey was born on May 7, 1983. He is a former professional gridiron football player. He played as a running back and a return specialist. A return specialist is a player who catches kicks from the other team and tries to run them back for a lot of yards. Dominique Dorsey played for teams like the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Argonauts, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He also spent some time with the Washington Redskins in the NFL.

Early Football Days
Dominique Dorsey played high school football at Tulare Union High School in Tulare, California. He was an amazing player there. He set many school records. One of his biggest achievements was scoring 118 touchdowns in his high school career. That's a lot of touchdowns!
College Football Career
After high school, Dorsey went on to play college football for the UNLV Rebels. He was a standout player in college too. In 2001, he was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year. Later, in 2004, he was chosen as a First-team All-Mountain West player. This means he was one of the best players in his conference.
Professional Football Journey
Dominique Dorsey had an exciting career playing professional football. He spent most of his time in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Starting with the Saskatchewan Roughriders
Dorsey began his professional career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2005. At first, he was a backup player. In 2006, he got a bigger role, especially in special teams. He was so good that he was named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week three times that season.
Short Time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
In 2007, Dorsey was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played in a couple of preseason games for them. However, he was later released by the team.
Making a Mark with the Toronto Argonauts
On August 2, 2007, Dorsey joined the Toronto Argonauts. In his very first game with them, he did something incredible. He tied a league record for the longest missed field goal return. He ran the ball back 129 yards for a touchdown against the Montreal Alouettes.
In 2008, Dorsey had an amazing season. He was named a CFL All-Star for his special teams play. He also won the John Agro Special Teams Award. This award goes to the league's most outstanding special teams player. Even though he missed five games due to injury, he still led the league with 2,892 all-purpose yards. All-purpose yards include yards from running, catching, and returning kicks.
A Glimpse of the NFL
On February 4, 2009, Dorsey signed with the Washington Redskins in the NFL. He played in four preseason games for them. However, he was released before the regular season started.
Returning to the CFL
After his time with the Redskins, Dorsey returned to the Toronto Argonauts on September 15, 2009. Unfortunately, he got injured after playing only four games.
In 2010, Dorsey re-signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He played in the first ten games of the season. But then, he was placed on the injured list for the rest of the season. He was released by the team the following year.
