Dorial Isaiah Green-Beckham (born April 12, 1993) is a former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). The Tennessee Titans picked him in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Missouri Tigers and later for the Oklahoma Sooners.
Dorial was a top high school football player. He was named a USA Today High School All-American twice. In 2011, he became the first wide receiver to win the USA Today Offensive Player of the Year award since 1989. He also won the Hall Trophy, which goes to the best high school player in the country.

Early Life and High School Sports
Dorial Isaiah Green-Beckham was born on April 12, 1993, in Springfield, Missouri. He went to Hillcrest High School. There, he was a star in three sports: football, basketball, and track.
Football Achievements
In his freshman year (2008), Dorial caught 37 passes for 801 yards. He scored 13 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 66 catches for 1,616 yards and 23 touchdowns. In 2010, his junior year, he was named the Rivals High School Football Junior of the Year. He made 78 receptions for 1,706 yards and 15 touchdowns.
In his senior year, Dorial had an amazing 119 catches for 2,233 yards. He scored 24 touchdowns. In October of that year, he set a national record for most receiving yards in high school history. This record was later broken in 2013. For his outstanding play, he was named the Sporting News High School Athlete of the Year. He also played in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Track and Field Success
Besides football, Dorial was also a very good track and field athlete. He won the 2009-10 Gatorade Missouri Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year award. In 2010, as a sophomore, he won two state titles in Missouri. He won the 100 meters and the triple jump. He also finished second in the long jump. His best time in the 100-meter dash was 10.59 seconds. He also had impressive jumps of 7.11 meters (23 feet, 2.25 inches) in the long jump and 14.45 meters (47 feet, 3.75 inches) in the triple jump.
Choosing a College Team
Dorial was one of the most wanted football players in the 2012 recruiting class. Many experts, like Rivals.com, ranked him as the number one overall player. In January 2012, he chose between five big colleges. These included Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
On National Signing Day (February 1, 2012), Dorial announced his decision on TV. He chose to play for the University of Missouri. He said he wanted to stay close to home so his family and friends could watch him play.

College Football Career
Playing for Missouri
Dorial started playing for Missouri as a true freshman in 2012. He played as an "X" receiver, a position where many great players had succeeded before him. He played in the first five games of the season. He caught five passes for 125 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown catch.
Later in the season, he returned to play against Kentucky. He caught a season-high seven passes. In a close game against Florida, he had six catches for 75 yards. In a thrilling four-overtime win against Tennessee, Dorial caught two passes, both for touchdowns. One of these was a game-tying touchdown in the last minute.
For his freshman season, he had 28 catches for 395 yards. He led the team with 5 receiving touchdowns. This earned him honorable mention freshman All-American honors.
In his sophomore season (2013), Dorial had 59 catches for 883 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns. In the SEC championship game against Auburn, he caught six passes for 144 yards and two scores. His 27-yard catch helped set up the winning score in the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma State. However, his time at Missouri ended in April 2014, and he left the team.
Transferring to Oklahoma
After leaving Missouri, Dorial transferred to the University of Oklahoma. According to NCAA rules, he had to sit out a full year before playing for a new team. Dorial tried to get special permission to play sooner, but the NCAA did not approve it.
In January 2015, Dorial announced he would enter the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent his time at Oklahoma practicing with the scout team. He did not play in any games for the Sooners before deciding to go pro.

Professional NFL Career
Tennessee Titans (2015)
The Tennessee Titans picked Dorial Green-Beckham as the 40th overall player in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. On June 1, 2015, he signed a four-year contract worth $5.6 million with the Titans.
He played his first NFL game in the Titans' opening victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the next game, he caught his first career pass. It was a 13-yard touchdown from Marcus Mariota. On September 27, 2015, he made history for the Titans. He became only the third player to score touchdowns on his first two NFL catches.
Dorial made his first career start on October 25, 2015. This was in a game against the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 9, he started again against the New Orleans Saints. He caught five passes for 77 yards in that game. In Week 13, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he had a season-high 119 receiving yards. This included a 47-yard touchdown catch. On December 20, 2015, he caught a season-high 6 passes for 113 yards. As a rookie in 2015, Dorial played in all 16 games. He finished the season with 549 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Philadelphia Eagles (2016)
On August 16, 2016, Dorial Green-Beckham was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. In exchange, the Titans received offensive tackle Dennis Kelly. In the 2016 season with the Eagles, Dorial played in 15 games. He had 392 receiving yards and two touchdowns. On June 30, 2017, the Eagles decided to release him from the team.
Personal Life
Dorial Green-Beckham was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the third of six children born to Charmelle Green. He never knew his biological father. He lived in several foster homes when he was younger.
In 2006, his high school coach, John Beckham, and his wife, Tracy, welcomed Dorial and his younger brother Darnell into their home. The Beckhams officially adopted Dorial on December 30, 2009. The couple also has a young daughter, with whom Dorial is very close.
Dorial's younger brother, Darnell Green-Beckham, received treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is now in remission, meaning the cancer is under control. Darnell had planned to play football for Missouri, but he later chose to pursue a career in modeling instead.
