Park View Trail
The Park View Trail starts from the park and leads to the Dos Vientos Open Space. This open space is a huge natural area, covering over 1,200 acres. It connects to even more open space in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, which stretches all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The Park View Trail ends at Via Ricardo.
Edison Trail (Powerline Trail)
Another trail from Dos Vientos Community Park is the Edison Trail, also known as the Powerline Trail. This trail leads towards the 2,200-foot-high Conejo Mountain in Camarillo, California. From this trail, you can see amazing views! You might spot the Oxnard Plain, the Pacific Ocean, and many Channel Islands. You can also see mountains like Boney Peak and the Topatopa Mountains.

How to Get to Dos Vientos Park
Getting to Dos Vientos Community Park is easy.
- If you are coming from the Ventura Freeway (U.S. 101), take the Borchard Road exit in Newbury Park, California.
- Drive south on Borchard Road for about 3.5 miles.
- The park's address is 4801 Borchard Road.
If you want to find the main trailhead for hiking, look for a dirt path. It follows the fence along Borchard Road for about 300 feet. When the fence splits, turn right and go through the split. This path will lead you up the hills behind the park.
