Dot. is a fun Canadian-American animated TV show for kids. It's based on a book by Randi Zuckerberg. The series first aired in Canada on Kids' CBC on September 6, 2016.

Later, it came to the United States on Universal Kids on October 22, 2016. You can also watch it on Tiny Pop in the UK since 2017. In January 2018, the show was renewed for a second season. The new season started on October 6, 2018.

What is Dot. About?

The show Dot. follows the exciting adventures of an energetic eight-year-old girl named Dot. She loves using technology to solve problems and explore the world. Dot is always with her friends: Hal, Ruby, Nev, and Dev. Her loyal dog, Scratch, is also part of their adventures. Sometimes, they even get into a few funny mix-ups!

Main Characters

  • Dot Comet (voiced by Lilly Bartlam) is the main character. She is eight years old and full of energy. Dot is super good with technology and loves exploring. Her name sounds like ".com," which is a common internet address. She has short, curly dark blue hair and wears a pink dress.
  • Scratch Comet (voiced by Terry McGurrin) is Dot's best dog friend. He's always by her side.
  • Hal (voiced by Isaiah Slater) is Dot's best human friend. He enjoys role-playing different characters.
  • Ruby Marshall (voiced by Grace Oliver) is a blonde girl who wears glasses. In one episode, "Super Ruby," we learn she uses hearing aids.
  • Nev Jumelle (voiced by Abigail Oliver) is Dev's sister.
  • Dev Jumelle (voiced by Ethan Tavares) is Nev's brother.

  • Mrs. Comet (voiced by Denise Oliver) is Dot's mom. She loves to sing with Dot.

  • "Garden Stakes" (January 19, 2017): Dot and Hal work to earn their Rangeroo Builder badges by building a garden.

Where to Watch Dot.

Dot. has been shown in many places around the world! It premiered on JimJam in Europe on May 1, 2017. It also aired on Canal Panda in Portugal, Piwi+ in France, and SVT in Sweden.

In the United States, Hulu also got the rights to stream Dot., making it available to watch online starting April 15. The show is currently airing on ABC Kids in Australia and Tiny Pop in the United Kingdom. In Spain, you can find it on Clan TVE, Super3, and Nickelodeon.

Games and Apps

You can find fun games related to Dot. online! An HTML game called "Dot's Rangeroo Scavenger Hunt" is available on the Kids' CBC and Universal Kids websites.

Another game, inspired by the classic arcade game Pong, is called Make a Game with Dot. You can play it on the Universal Kids website. There's also an app called Dotopedia, which is like a kid-friendly Wikipedia. It was released on December 12, 2016, for Android and iOS devices.
