The Dromkeen Medal is a special award given each year in Australia. It celebrates people who have done amazing things for children's literature and young adult books in Australia. This means they have helped make great books for kids and teens.

The medal was started in 1982 by a bookseller named Joyce Oldmeadow. It is named after her family's property, Dromkeen Homestead. This homestead is near Riddell's Creek, Victoria. In 1973, the Oldmeadow family turned it into a museum for children's literature. Since 2013, the State Library of Victoria has been the one to present the Dromkeen Medal.
