Druid Lake is a cool lake found in Washington County, Wisconsin. It's located near the town of Erin, Wisconsin and the city of Hartford, Wisconsin. This lake is special because it was formed naturally by huge glaciers long ago.

Druid Lake is surrounded by beautiful woods and rolling hills called glacial drumlins. These drumlins were also shaped by glaciers! The lake is part of the Southern Savannah Region in southeastern Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine area. It's about 25 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

This lake covers about 120 acres, which is like 90 football fields! It has a maximum depth of 53 feet, which is as tall as a five-story building. The average depth is 25 feet. Druid Lake also has about 2.3 miles of shoreline, perfect for exploring.

What is a Kettle Lake?

Druid Lake is known as a kettle lake. This means it was formed by melting ice from ancient glaciers. When glaciers moved across the land, they left behind huge chunks of ice. As these ice chunks melted, they created deep holes in the ground. These holes then filled with water, forming lakes like Druid Lake!

The area around the lake, called the Kettle Moraine, is full of these interesting landforms. You can see many hills (drumlins) and valleys that were all shaped by the power of ice.
